terribaMemberSkylark cafe is the only place I can think of in West Seattle that has a Monte Cristo. It’s pretty good.

celeste17ParticipantI remember the Alaska Junction Restaurant had them when I was younger and I still miss them. Let me know if you go and how they are.

BigRedMemberI saw a monte cristo in the case at Bakery Neuvo over the weekend. It looked great. Unfortunately I had already ordered my lunch. :( Oh well, Next time.

HolyKowMemberYou said ‘Bakery Neuvo’ and Monte Cristo in the same sentence.
I think you found your sandwich……

KeithMemberI don’t think anywhere in WS does the fully-battered, deep-fried wedge of deliciousness, just the “french toast sandwich” kind. They do make it at Jimmy’s in the hotel next to Safeco Field, but I’ve never tried it.

JacobMemberI’ve actually had the Monte Cristo at Bakery Nouveau. I like their other goodies, but their Monte Cristo is pretty underwhelming. I’m looking for the deep-fried wedge of deliciousness like Keith mentioned.
Is the “Alaska Junction Restaurant” still in business? I wasn’t familiar with the name so I did some googling and it seems to share the same address as Jak’s.
Thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming if you know of any others!

miwsParticipantJacob, yes, the AJ was where Jak’s now is.
It (both restaurant and bar) were pretty popular in their day.
