WSBKeymasterthanks, if you know any employers personally do remind them they can post free here – CL costs $25!

allcomersWSParticipantI might add that searching on with “west seattle” (not just west seattle; quotes included) on craigslist will give you only jobs that say west seattle in the post….not just seattle.

allcomersWSParticipantOkay…the link doesn’t work…you need to search on “west seattle”.

GenHillOneParticipantI’ll even take it an extra step…whenever I’m searching CL (in any category), I search “west sea” because some people abbreviate :)

alki_2008ParticipantGenHillOne – the only problem with using that on Craigslist is that CL search doesn’t work the way typical searches do. Their searches don’t do partial words…so searching for ‘sea’ will not retrieve records that have ‘seattle’.
Same with searches like “lesson” vs “lessons” or “auto” vs “automotive”, etc.
It’s the one peeve I have about CL. :(

GenHillOneParticipantYeah, it can’t be your only search and agreed, it’s annoying. But I’ve missed posts before because people have abbreviated – also annoying ;)
I should add too – when there is something specific I want, I have a (perhaps) odd habit of searching for listings with typos on CL, Freecycle, Ebay, etc…often less competition because others didn’t find them!

alki_2008ParticipantSearching for typos…I’ve done that too. ;)
