“Whose”, not “who’s. And look up “articulate” while you have your dictionary out.

How the heck did Israel come into the conversation? You do know that Bernie is Jewish….right? But if you want to speak of war, let’s address the one we seem to be losing – the war on ignorance.

So…With whom are we at war? War means something specific, as do all words, and I would argue that since congress has not issued a dclaration of war that we are not at war per the law/constitution. We are engaged in military action against an Idea (I capitalized that on purpose). Do you really believe that bombs, guns and drones are the way to defeat an idea? Show me anywhere in history that that didn’t galvanize those idealists.

Now on to Israel; what about Israel? What does it mean to support Israel, does it have to be your way? Does it have to be all or nothing? What do you really know about Israel beyond the fact that it’s been involved in military action since it’s inception? The need that Americans feel to support Israel is peculiar in that it is entirely without reason and seems to be entirely controlled by the nation that is demanding aid.

By the way, for you and Betty, Julie, hurling statements aimed at denigrating groups rather than refuting points immediately renders your argument easily dismissed.

Julie.. i have a problem with defining intolerance as not accepting intolerance from others.

I am proudly intolerant of Socialsism and Communism. We are at war against radical Islamic terrorism.

socialism and communism are buzzwords if you don’t know what they actually mean…
or how they are applied differently around the world.

“Proudly intolerant.” That about sums it up.

You do realize that we have many socialist aspects to the way that we do things. We socialize the cost of roads, police, fire and EMS service, our court system education, water and electricity just to name a few. We as a nation are peculiar, however, in how we deal with that. We socialize the costs/expenses and allow businesses to retain all of the profits generated while using that infrastructure, meaning that we don’t tax them appropriately or at all and we allow them to bully state and/or regions into incredible giveaways (I’m talking to you, Boeing!) WE have, as a nation decided that the rich get to continue to be rich and that the middle class and poor get to stay that.
As to whom we are at war with; that is an idea, not a nation/state. Military force has never overcome an idea. Ever. It galvanizes it if nothing else. We haven’t actually declared war since 1941. We never declared war for Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm or the “war” that we’ve been prosecuting for the last 15 years. I place quotation marks around war, by the way, because of that missing declaration (congress abdicated its authority for both conflicts) and that we are fighting an idea…with guns. This didn’t work in the Middle Ages during the Crusades, either.

Tell me, how has military force done overcoming Palestinians?

waynster…and she did it because she didn’t want any debt when she got out of college…are we supposed to be ok with that because it’s prostitution, the oldest profession, and get over it, it exists? Nope…not me…sorry…not just so you don’t have to be not carrying college debt for the rest of your life. Sorry.

There would be a lot less dead Palestinians if their (not “there” for those of you in the Admiral District) government wasn’t a terrorist organization. My fellow Republicans. Do not attack the Democrats right now. They are doing a fine job of embarrassing themselves with their rigged selection process. I mean really, a woman who is being investigated by the FBI and a socialist as THE two BEST candidates EVER. I don’t see Republicans rioting outside the Bern’s and Hill’s campaign stops. Funny how that free speech thing kind of gets bandied about but is accompanied with a bit of violence. Nope, if you don’t want free speech, be a lib and scream and yell and throw rocks at Police officers who are just doing their job. Remember, illegal immigration is up due to the generous and forgotten policy of the Federal Government. And by the way, Donald Trump’s decisions have not caused death like Hillary’s (and give Bernie credit here too!). Rejoice in the fine job of a party that only cares about feeding itself, government, and promising free stuff while the U.S. economy is tepid and GDP is about the 4th weakest among Presidents. ((BUT THE STOCK MARKET IS SO HIGH you might say… Tell that to the working poor and middle class that don’t get quarterly dividends or can’t afford to invest in stocks)). The louder they scream the more scared they are. Sit back, grab some popcorn and watch the fireworks. I wonder if Ralph Nader or somebody like that might jump into the race? Hmmm.

I am glad that common sense is beginning to prevail across the county as the silent majority wakes up to the reality of our circumstances. Maybe by this time next year we will see crooked Hillary in prison and comrade Bernie exiled to Venezuela?

    hey, Rich…
In these three links…read the stories, but substitute the name Clinton (as in Hillary) every time it says “Trump”…that’s the only change..the rest remains the same. How do you feel about this person as president material?

and…I always thought you were smarter than using “socialist” as a euphemism for perhaps communism…you and I both know it ain’t true…and it’s Democratic socialism…as in FDR, who had 4 terms as president (for those younguns out there, there didn’t used to be term limits for prez). And smart ass comments about us Admiral District people, too…my how you’ve changed…(Capt. Dave doesn’t get a pass…he needs to educate himself instead of making comments like he did) Y’all do know that every time you drive on a public road, you’re participating in socialism….right? RIGHT?

how about those Mariners…47 runs in 4 games !!!!

1st: the stock market is not indicative of the health of a nation or its economy there are far more indicators. It’s indicative of the stock market and trading.

2nd: the tendency to attack “liberals” rather than their ideals and on a factual basis rather than an emotional basis makes it easy to dismiss their ranting.

Let me lay some knowledge on ya. Democratic presidents, with few exceptions, have left the country in better condition than republicans. To stick with recent history, Clinton and Obama lowered the deficit (current reporting is that Obama has managed to lower the deficit by more that a 1 trillion dollars from a little more than 1.4T to 400Bn [CBO]. Clinton shrunk to -$127Bn, that’s a 127Bn surplus, which Bush then used to write checks to all of us taxpayers prior to the deficit and debt plummeting to the lowest level ever faster than ever. Reagan and Bush I increased the deficit more than any president in histroy up until that point en toto. Additionally, Reagan, that paragon of republican presidents, RAISED taxes, as did Bush I.

As for Obamacare (also known as the Affordable Care Act) this plan was originally proposed by Nixon, then Bob Dole prior to it being put in place by Obama and a democratic congress. Keep in mind that this plan requires citizens to purchase health insurance (not healthcare) from private for profit companies. Talk about a boon to the insurance industry!

Regarding the violence and other campaign shenanigans: This violence is perpetrated by individuals, not campaigns. That said, Trump is the only one that employs explicitly violent rhetoric and encourages acts of violence by members of his audience against protesters. I’ve not heard Hillary or Bernie make similar statements and Ipay close attention to these elections. While I’m sick unto death of this election as it’s been going on for about 100 years, I’ve only heard patently ridiculous statements from Trump. As to investigations for criminal activity Hillary and Trump are both being heavily investigated.

all right, sanders supporters. the jig is up. since a sanders coup d’etat is increasingly unlikely, we might as well confess our motives and explain the machinations of our bolshevik plot.

first of all, the fedral reserve would be abolished, and elizabeth warren appointed money czar for life. money is her secret heroin, after all, but skull-crushing power is almost as important to our commie queen.

the heads of all major banks would be taxed at a rate of 200%, and forced to run a new government bank. bonuses would be illegal. failure to comply would result in a death sentence to be executed by gas chamber (which would be built with unionized latin american labor.)

on a brighter note, libertarians would finally get their flat tax rate: 50%. poor people and loyal union tradesmen, of course, would pay nothing, and would be housed in property seized from hard-working small business owners.

everyone else would work in government factories making free iphones, teevees, cadillacs, fortified malt liquor, and silk clothing for loyal party members to enjoy in their newfound free time, since they won’t work anymore.

not working, getting high, and getting free sh*t from the sweat of highly-regulated capitalists’ brows is the ultimate marxist dream, is it not, comrades?

abortions for all christians would be mandatory, including men. loyal party members will, of course, have any and all preferred manners of marriage arrangements, sexual orientations, and birth control – but we all know that abortion is the cheapest and most painless method for controlling the size of one’s family.

by the way, all doctors and other health care professionals would receive government paychecks, and be required to provide free in-home abortions, tattoos, and sex changes for all party members.

all other pregnancies would be terminated in stem cell mills, where party members would be cloned.

teachers would have a pay rate of $500 per hour, or a million dollars annually, whichever is higher. they would work no more than 3 days a week.

the LGBTQ agenda would dominate the daily government school curricula, but darwinism, debunking christianity, and making children feel guilty about the various ways man has destroyed the planet would also be given weight.

    what did i miss?

RB, except for the Obamacare death panels, I think you pretty well covered it.
