TheHouseMemberJust took the entire House family down to Full Tilt here are the pros and cons:
Pros – Good ice cream (3 out of 5 stars), friendly owners, awesome pinball machines, awesome Pac-Man and Mortal Kombat II, OK prices (3 out of 5 stars).
Cons – Dirty shop, very slow (waited over 30 minutes when only 5 people were in front of me), were apparently out of 3 flavors (limited selection) and the worst was location, location location. We actually witnessed someone hand money to a crackie (I’m being polite) while leaving.
Final review… I wish these folks best of luck. In my opinion, when I open a business I will bring my “A” game from the minute I open. These folks in my opinion brought their “C” game, but they did have smiles on their face. I overheard another woman complain about the amount of ice cream she was given, but the owners did take care of her in the end.
Granted, this is their first day so I will give them another shot in a few weeks but they need to make some tweaks to their operation.

WSBKeymasterJustin posted in the comments thread on our post from this afternoon but got caught in the spam filter, where I just found him almost four hours later. Same thing happened with Zippy’s opening – lots of people showed up, they ran out of stuff. Having never opened a food-service business, I have to say, do you overproduce or underproduce for day 1 … how do you make that decision?
They put together the business within a few months of making the decision. Probably a low-risk venture, given the location and the fact they both have other careers. Right before interviewing Justin and Ann on Wednesday afternoon, I interviewed Sean and Sofia Goff, who are putting together Cafe Revo, something they’ve dreamed of for at least 15 years … big operation, big plan, bigger business, probably a whole different situation. (That story will appear on WSB over the weekend.)
Anyway, Justin’s comment also includes which flavors he’s making next :)

Patrick and Junior Member went late this afternoon (I had just popped in at 12:15 for quick photos/video). Junior Member also tried the butter pecan. P tried the berry cinnamon paleta. Good reviews from them. – TR

GenHillOneParticipantAny chairs out on the sidewalk? Perhaps if more people occupy the area, the less-desirables will move on.
I personally would sit out there and watch for folks going into the adult store across the street. While they have a legal right to operate such a store, I don’t think the evil side of me could resist a point and an audible laugh.
Here’s hoping the positive influences will overtake the negatives – more power to ‘em!

ToddinWestwoodMemberWe drove by there last night. Little one couldnt have ice cream last night (punishment) for a tantrum earlier.
I wish the King Co. Police would clean up that area a little more. The group of folks standing/smoking outside of Brewskies and The Locker Room would be enough to drive anyone off.
Anyway, we will try to get over there today, if Monkey behaves :)
