booklirpaMemberTrying to pick a place for a birthday dinner in West Seattle for this Thursday night. I wish there was a wine bar/restaurant in West Seattle! What do you think is the best restaurant for a wine lover in West Seattle? Thanks.

CarsonParticipantSpring Hill. Period.

flowerpetalMemberI couldn’t think of a better place in WS for excellent food and the right wine.

booklirpaMemberThank you for the suggestion. I checked out the menu, and i’m not sure it’s a good fit for this group. Would love to hear more suggestions if anyone has some. A restaurant with at least some vegetarian entrees would be great (and great wine is a must!)

OliverMemberFresh Bistro – many great vegetarian options and decent wine selection.

girltraceyMemberJaks, the last page of their wine list is expensive but the good stuff. Or, stop by Bin 44 and pick up some bottle, Jaks’ corking fee I believe is only $5. It might be $10 now but still not bad. They will decant anything you need. If you’re looking for more casual Bohemian has a thoughtful, if small, list. Eness has an impressive wine list of mostly French and Northwest wines.

WSdreamerMembergood to know about the low corkage fee for Jaks! I always forget about this option.

KBearParticipantThere won’t be a lot of vegetarian options at Jak’s, but whatever they do have will be good! Same goes for their seafood.

wundrgrrrlParticipantBuddha Ruksa has a great selection of wines as well and I’ve always been surprised at the reasonable bottle prices.

grrParticipantI’d give Phoenecia on Alki a try..They just expanded their wine list, and it’s amazing.
