Some clouds, some sun today, high temperature in the low 60s, rain still on the way for Friday – possibly up to an inch. As for air quality, we’re still under an alert, and you can check current pollutant levels here.

Still a 2-boat schedule for WSF’s Triangle Route (check here for alerts/updates).

The West Seattle Water Taxi is now on its fall/winter schedule (still daily, all dayparts, but no late Friday/Saturday runs).

Any school closures with the very poor air quality?

Not that I’ve heard. SPS had a message yesterday about moving PE/sports indoors, though.

WARNING TO ALL. With the rain coming tomorrow roads will be SLICK! Until enough rain has washed away all the gunk it’ll be nasty slick for cars, motorcycles and bikes. My prediction is that WSB and other media will be talking about a LOT of fender benders until people remember driving in rain really is different that driving on a dry road.

I know there’s the purple map showing AQI, but has anyone gotten the PS clean air AQI map to work? It’s been out for me, for today and yesterday. I’ve tried on computer and mobile, different browsers.  (just shows an image of a  jiggling test beaker with bubbles)

As for air quality maps, I prefer https://www.airnow.gov/?city=Seattle&state=WA&country=USA for a view. I checked out the purple site referenced in the blog post above and was perplexed by the yellow dots in our mostly purple area only to learn these are sensors within people’s homes. How is that useful?

Sorry, comment time is over.
