BIZNOTE: Happy 1st anniversary, Best of Hands Brewery and Barrelhouse!

Looking for someplace to go tonight? You can help Best of Hands Brewery and Barrelhouse (7500 35th SW; WSB sponsor) finish celebrating their 1st anniversary. As noted in our daily highlight lists, one year after Best of Hands opened in “the building with the cow,” the party’s been on all weekend with new releases.

Today’s draft release is Three Kingdoms, described as a “cabernet sauvignon BBL aged sour ale with apricots.” Here’s the current list of what’s available – that includes canned beverages:

They’re open until 10 tonight. P.S. If you can’t get there until tomorrow – note that Best of Hands has Monday night trivia, 7-9 pm.

Holy cow…it’s been 1 year?! No really already a year?

Congrats and wishing you many more.

Really liked this place but have not been more than once in the year since it’s opened because of their no minors rule. We’re frequent brewery visitors (like 1/week!) and wish we could visit with the kids in tow. I understand that’s also a deterrent for some but curious if there’s been talk at all of changing their policy?Regardless, congrats on one year and happy you’re in the neighborhood!

It’s not “their policy”. It’s the law.

@MR- Thank you for the well-wishes. @West Sea Neighbor- It is, in fact, our policy.

We would love to be able to allow kids and dogs at our establishment, unfortunately, as you know, we are cramped for space as it is. When we are even moderately busy our available space is greatly diminished. We don’t think it would be comfortable or fair to *ALL* of our patrons to complicate matters by allowing dogs and folks under 21 years of age. This is our decision, and as we said when we opened our doors a year ago, we will not be able to accommodate everyone. That’s just the reality of owning a small business. There are more, and newer options for all ages establishments if that is what you seek. As for Best of Hands, we will be here and happy to serve you whenever you do not have the kids in tow!

Thanks again for the anniversary wishes and support!

I just don’t understand why parents/adults feel they need to bring their children to an “adult-drinking” establishment? I guess I’m old fashioned…or maybe it’s because I remember sitting in the car with my brother and sister waiting on our Dad to come out after having a few. :>/

Love Best of Hands and don’t mind at all planning our visits for our time sans kids.

Thank you for the no kids and no pets policy!  Far too many breweries and taprooms already allow kids and pets and many of us do not find that relaxing.  It is greatly appreciated that you do not, as is your wonderful beer selection, quality, and service.  Congratulations, here’s to many more years of good times.
