I don’t use Avalon very often so it really stuck out to me this morning how that complex road striping project is already looking worn out.

Please remember that the current striping is temporary. In the spring, as noted again in our recent closer-look update

they will be painting the permanent striping, addiing reflective markers, adding the posts for the protected bike lanes, etc.

Oh thank goodness!!!! I drive that road a lot and let me tell you, In the rain you can’t see any of the striping at night. Was hoping they’d have reflectors. So happy when this is done!

I had a guy flip me off today on Fauntleroy as he wanted to make the illegal left hand turn right before the Light on Oregon street to go up by the Y.  I gestured back to him.  Why can’t people figure out to take their left at 35th when getting off the WS Bridge instead of in-convienencing all of the cars in the morning going to the bridge.  Sheesh!

If you mean turning left from westbound Fauntleroy on to 37th Ave SW, that’s not illegal. It’s not a very considerate thing to do during rush hour, but there’s no law against it.

Lola. That turn there is 100% LEGAL. KBEAR is right, agrivateing yes but i’m willing to bet YOU have at some time inconvenienced other drivers while waiting to make a turn.

So today I decided to be the nice guy and let a left hand turn driver turn off of Fauntleroy onto 37th.  In my kindness the driver turned just fine little did I know a 2nd left turn driver was behind him, she started to turn into my lane but had to stop as the far lanes had cars coming thru the light at Oregon.  Grr had to wait quite awhile for her to make her turn.  That will be the last time I let anybody turn there.  Have some common sense and turn down at 35th if you want to be on that side of town.  I will not be the nice guy next time.

Sorry, comment time is over.
