WEST SEATTLE WEATHER: Latest outlook for snow

You might see a few flakes early Thursday morning, the National Weather Service says, but don’t panic. Its newest forecast update is out, and while we might see a bit of snow, the more-serious potential still doesn’t show up until late in the weekend – Sunday night or later. Also note that Tuesday’s high is predicted to be in the 20s! As we mentioned yesterday, the city has invited media to a preparedness briefing tomorrow, and we’ll be there.

    Snow Alert:
Expecting 0 (zero) to 85 inches of snow.
Starting: Saturday or Sunday or Monday maybe, but probably not happening at all.
Recommendations: Stock up on all necessities immediately and prepare for snowpocalypse or a beautiful weekend, either one is possible.

Don’t worry, everybody. I just bought a snow shovel. That means it won’t snow now since I’m semi prepared. You’re welcome.

Thank you! They’re also helpful in other circumstances. I use ours to scoop up leaves in fall.

I’m on Capitol Hill and there are beautiful fat flakes coming down. Too warm to stick though.

I love when we have snow. Last year was wonderful. I want a solid week here and then it can go away and I will drive to more of it

Must be a microclimate because we’re at 300′, uphill and east of LP, and not seeing anything! But @westseawx on Twitter, who is closer to the “peak” elevation (500′), is.

Stay warm and stay safe dear neighbors — watch out for ice.  It’s always the other cars you have to watch out for.  And stock up on groceries!  :)

I’m offended, please refrain from using the term “snowflake(s)”  for this upcoming forecast. Try feathery ice crystal(s) instead, lol

Sorry, comment time is over.
