These are the best security camera images I’ve seen in a long time. I hope they can ID and collar this guy quickly.

‘Is that a camera? Ooh damnit! I should worn a better shirt and combed my hair.’Perfect pictures!

I feel kinda sorry for this guy, he’s so stupid he doesn’t even know which end of the crowbar to use to get leverage on that lock.  Stay in school, kids! Those boring physics classes may have real world applications one day!

    • Wrong November 28, 2018 (10:07 am)

@shipwrecked and …you could not be more wrong. This persons failure with the crowbar comes from lack of any honest tasks or physical work. This is not something you learn at school, and I’ve seen plenty of scholarly types struggle with things like this. This is a hands on learning skill you get from helping your folks in the back yard or garage or farm. Staying in school is good, but if you want to know how to so anything with your hands, try getting off your a**!

Yup. Many farmers in West Seattle. And, most apartments don’t have back yards, or garages, in the traditional sense. Most folks, I would wager, have never owned a crowbar.

Wrong, it is you who are, ironically, incorrect! If you took physics classes at say, the University of Washington, you would know without ever having picked up a crowbar that the force exerted by the short end is exponentially proportional to the force applied at the tip of the long end, and that the bendy part is the fulcrum. You also might find yourself doing honest work in a laboratory as I am now, as opposed to committing fruitless petty theft on camera at 2 am to try to compensate for your failed career as a Lionel Ritchie impersonator. (I was not paid or compensated in any way by the University of Washington Physics Department to comment on this thread.)

Do you call it “the bendy part” in your lab? 😁

        • Wrong November 29, 2018 (6:10 pm)

Wow!  Are you Carl Sagan?  Me is stupefied by your fantastical physics techno-talking. They must get you some really good learning at that university?!  (I still think you laboratoryaters are fairly ineffective with a crowbar, though.. Even after your leverage TED Talk.)

Wrong- lighten up, man.  I meant all that as a joke, and the moron in the photos was the target, not you.  Sheesh.

  • Lola November 28, 2018 (9:17 am)

I like the second picture as it looks like he is noticing the camera and is saying oh is that me in the lens?  Tee hee.

  • 98126res November 28, 2018 (9:42 am)

Busted… which is good.  He needed to get caught, start turning his life around, not stealing from others.  Good luck to this person.

That’s the best “Oh S–t” look I’ve seen on a perp’s face in a while.Hopefully we’ll get to see it again soon when the cops knock on his door.

    • Howdydoo November 28, 2018 (11:41 am)

Hi Lester- how is the weather there on fantasy island?

  • c November 28, 2018 (10:03 am)

    Lionel is that you?

    • Lionel November 28, 2018 (11:43 am)

Hellooo? Is it me you’re looking forrr?!

    • sam-c November 28, 2018 (11:44 am)

Is it me you’re looking for ?

      • KBear November 28, 2018 (11:57 am)

Tell me how to break this lock, because I haven’t got a clue!

  • Rick November 28, 2018 (10:52 am)

The second pic is for sure a “Who,me?” shot. Hilarious.

  • Sean November 28, 2018 (11:22 am)

Does this crowbar make me look fat?

  • West Seattle Hipster November 28, 2018 (11:52 am)

He looks like John Torturro’s character from The Big Lebowski

  • Angie P November 28, 2018 (12:07 pm)

I’m really curious to know what brand of security camera that is, because wow! Amazing quality!

    • Paul November 28, 2018 (2:11 pm)

It’s a Lorex System that was purchased at Costco

  • Jim P. November 28, 2018 (3:55 pm)

Look at the time stamps..he was there a while and does indeed look like the poster child for “Don’t drop your kids on their head or this is what you get” day.Not the brightest light on the tree there.Wonder if he had a car waiting.  You;d think someone walking down the road late at night with a three foot long crowbar would be noticed so I suppose he did.

    • WSB November 28, 2018 (4:08 pm)

Note that this was from *behind* the businesses, on the alley. So he might not have been “walking down the road.”

  • CandrewB November 28, 2018 (4:39 pm)

Shorts and no socks. From the immediate vicinity? Seems if you were hopping in a car and cruising in from another neighborhood/town, you’d wear more clothes just in case.

  • RayWest November 28, 2018 (4:45 pm)

Is he ready for his close-up? That’s the first security camera image I’ve seen posted that you can actually see an alleged perpetrator’s face clearly. I hope the police got this guy.

  • waikikigirl November 28, 2018 (6:14 pm)

@C…..LOL he does look like Lionel Ritchie!!!

    • KBear November 29, 2018 (12:16 pm)

Whoa, got a feelin’… they got cameras on the ceiling!

  • hi November 29, 2018 (11:05 am)

haha I actually thought he looked like adam sandler… (sorry adam)

  • Kim November 29, 2018 (8:04 pm)
