We were going Christmas light surfing through WS tonight. I didn’t find a map of all the best displays for this year, just the 2 biggies. Is it a safe bet to use last years?

Karena – I’d give it a try. Past couple years have been short on nominees so we just decided to focus on other things this year. But I see some of the same ones we’d featured in previous years, still brightly lit (the stub of Fauntleroy Way that parallels the end of the bridge is a great street, for one).

The former Barnecut’s gas station has been rebranded to Chevron. They still have the highest gas prices in WS though.

Thanks for the update – hadn’t been by in a while – perhaps related to the fact that the owner of Admiral Chevron is the one who bought it a while back. Re: prices – we haven’t done a gas survey in a long time, might be interesting given the continued price drops!

what do you mean by the 2 biggies? Menashe Family Lights and ???

is Alki Masonic Lodge still an all male institution?

That would be a reference to the Holiday Guide, where we have standing listings for the Menashe Lights and the Helmstetler Family Spectacular (aka West Seattle Lights). Also West Seattle Yuletide! https://wsb.blackfin.biz/westseattleholidays

Wow, parking near 1 PM Saturday was at a premium in the Junction…Lines for every lot, streets nearby full. I should have just camped out at QFC and walked a couple blocks. Maybe tomorrow…

I use the Yellow Pages app for gas prices. :)
