Happening now: Rambo and friends, looking for homes

Update on the adoptable dogs and cats at the Furry Faces Foundation plant sale/pet adoption event running through 4 pm today (3809 46th SW; map) – Hotwire Coffee (WSB sponsor)’s Lora Lewis is there and sends pix of some of the pets who just might be looking for YOU – that’s Rambo in the photo above – and following the nameless but cute kittens, it’s Griswold:

Griswold’s a Rottweiler mix, 18 months old, available through King County Animal Services – Lora says the fees are $75 dogs, $35 for cats, $75 kittens. And as she adds, “Lots of plants too, of course!”

Was there yesterday and today. Rambo and a sweet terri-poo found homes while I was there today, and adoption papers were being filled out on a darling dapple doxie as I left. Plus, one of the pets adopted LAST year came by for a visit, much to the delight of the Animal Services volunteers who remembered him. Good feelings all around! And, oh yes… the plants! Lovely tomatoes, especially! Many varieties.

thanks for the update!!! I met two cats there yesterday who I would loved to have brought home. Unfortunately, we are pretty much maxed out at two ex-shelter cats in one tiny house … TR

A Big Thanks to Tracy and Patrick of WSB and Lora Lewis of Hotwire Online Coffeehouse for such great coverage of the Pet Adoption and Plant Sale Event. We love you.

FOUR animals found new, loving homes yesterday and there was a lot of interest in Griswald and the remaining kitties, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that people show up at King County Animal Shelter later this week.

Thanks to Animals First Foundation, a West Seattle Rescue Group, for bringing Riley to the plant sale. Riley is a GREAT senior dog with lots of energy ‘n’ love to share. If you are interested in meeting her, please contact Animals First Foundation (website) or shoot us an email and we will forward on.

Thanks to all of the plant shoppers–you were all lovely. Almost all of our plants are gone which is good for the animals we support. We now have to get back to transplanting and asking for more plant material donations for our June plant sale –and pet adoption event.

    Cheers, F3, furryfaces@hotmail.com
