Got that pic after getting word that West Seattleite Mike Seely posted to the Seattle Weekly‘s food/drink blog Voracious that the Tug Tavern (north of Home Depot, next to the Vietnamese Cultural Center) is now the Tug Inn – serving cocktails.
WooHoo! Bought my first keg there when I was 16 from Tommy. Guess we all gotta grow up sometime.
Sweet another place to have drinkies. Now I can make a full circle when the Feedback Lounge opens. I am going to map out my weekend now.
How is the Tug? Good brews, or just fizzy yellow stuff? Do they serve PBR in earnest or to be ironic? Reviews pleeze.
lol, drove by around 4:30 and looked straight at the sign wondering what was different…I’m not even sure that one part of it wasn’t covered with a tarp – you are ON it!
and saw them freshening the paint on the exterior of Feedback Lounge just before that – looks good
well, thanks definitely due to Mike @ the Weekly. I make it through that stretch at least 4 times a week but hadn’t been by today so had to scamper over for the pic before sharing the link to his blurb!

my grandpa had a night dedicated to him at the Tug….’Turner Tuesdays…come in for insults, abuse and general derision’…The Tug will always have a soft spot for me.
I’m still fairly new to the state. The licensing laws are bewildering to me!

Swensi, You must drive by Chuck and Sally’s about once a year. I’ve been wondering the same thing though. They had a decent Judge Dredd pinball machine in there.

We reached its owner once. He declined to return our calls after that. To this date, no “for sale” listing, no development proposal, though admittedly this isn’t exactly the greatest time for such things, so I would imagine a LOT of property owners are playing hold’em.
Will I get stares or beat up if wear business attire to the Tug after work? I’ve always wanted to go, just wasn’t sure what kind of place it was, but now I feel safe. Thank you, WSB.
