And the troubled (but lovely, we think) steel-electric ferry Quinault, one of the 80-year-old ferries that the state is ready to scrap because of their hull problems:

Forecast suggests this may be the last we see of the sun till sometime Sunday.

what the heck IS that weird color in the sky???
I’ve been inside with the flu. Guess I’d better go stock up on more medicine now so I can bump up the vitamin D levels while I’m at it.

hello insomnia: Good eye there but the photo is not HDR. I find the Shadow/Highlight filter in Photoshop CS3 produces similar results with just a few keystrokes. This photo was processed just a bit because I was shooting almost directly into the sun.

Ron,

Tress on beach came as a result of last month’s storm/flooding. Many tress washed out by the flooded rivers ended up in Puget Sound where they are pushed by the wind and tides to our shores.
